The Guidance and Training Center (GTC) is a leading non- profit community mental health center based in Bethlehem, established in 1994. Dedicated to promoting mental health and psychosocial well-being in Palestinian society, GTC focuses on providing high-quality preventive and therapeutic services- particularly for children, adolescents, and families. In addition to direct services, the center is committed to raising public awareness around mental health issues, advancing evidence- based practices, and building the capacities of mental health professionals across the region. GTC also actively supports research and advocacy efforts to strengthen mental health systems and services in Palestine.

Job Description

Public Relations & Fundraising Officer

  • Contract Type: Full-time
  • Contract Duration: One year (renewable)

Main Responsibilities:  Public Relations & Communications

  • Support the planning and implementation of GTC's communications and outreach strategies.
  • Manage media relations: prepare press releases, arrange
  • interviews, and maintain media contact lists.
  • Coordinate the development of printed and digital communication materials.
  • Develop strategies to improve the center's public image and visibility.
  • Monitor media coverage and track public perception of the organization.
  • Build and maintain relationships with influencers, bloggers, and media representatives.

 

Fundraising & Donor Engagement

  • Identify local and international funding opportunities aligned with GTC's mission.
  • Support the development of concept notes, proposals, and fundraising materials.
  • Organize and coordinate meetings, presentations, and events with potential donors.
  • Create and maintain a detailed donor database (contacts, funding interests, giving history).
  • Prepare a proposal calendar with key deadlines and deliverables
  • Collaborate with the finance team to develop accurate proposal budgets and financial reports.
  • Support technical teams in preparing donor reports.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
A Master's degree is considered an asset.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in NGOS in Palestine.
Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic (both written and spoken).
Strong experience in media management and public engagement.
High-level research and analytical skills for funding prospecting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and multimedia tools.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Residency in Bethlehem or Jerusalem is preferred.
