Job Description

Overview

Role: Accounting Software Analyst to validate, verify, and enhance our AI-powered accounting platform
Focus: Ensure high-quality user experience by testing functionalities, identifying issues, and providing feedback for continuous improvement
Commitment: ~1-2 hours per month on a part-time basis
Location: 100% Remote (US Time Zone)

Responsibilities

Test and Validate: Thoroughly test new features and updates within our accounting software (e.g., transaction entries, reporting dashboards, integration flows).

Bug Identification: Proactively identify, document, and track software bugs and discrepancies in accounting functionalities.

Scenario Creation: Design real-world accounting scenarios to rigorously test the platform’s ability to handle day-to-day accounting tasks and edge cases.

Feedback Loop: Provide clear, concise feedback and suggestions for improvements to developers and product teams.

Collaboration: Work closely with engineers and product managers to ensure quick turnaround on fixes, and maintain the software’s functional and aesthetic quality.

Requirements

1–3 years of accounting experience: Familiarity with basic bookkeeping, journal entries, and standard financial reports (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, etc.).

Experience with Accounting Software: Comfort navigating popular accounting tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite) and ability to quickly learn new platforms.

Attention to Detail: Ability to spot inconsistencies in transactions, data, and UI.

Fluent English (C1+): Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially important for detailed bug reports and test documentation.

Remote-First Mindset: Comfortable collaborating via Slack, email, and video calls while working from anywhere in the US time zone.

Availability: 5 hours per week, flexible scheduling but available to overlap with US business hours as needed.

Work Ethic: Willingness to move fast, give clear feedback, and operate with a sense of urgency.
