MAP is seeking a Communications Assistant to support its visibility, advocacy, and fundraising efforts in Gaza. The role involves collecting and developing ethical, engaging, and culturally sensitive stories that highlight health and humanitarian issues. The Communications Assistant will conduct interviews and draft impact stories with MAP staff, partners, and community members, gather testimonies from healthcare workers and affected communities to raise awareness of urgent health needs, create content for MAP’s digital channels, manage digital assets, and provide Arabic–English translation support to ensure accuracy and cultural sensitivity. This position plays a vital role in amplifying the voices of Gaza’s communities and showcasing MAP’s impact.
About You
The ideal candidate should have a background in communications, media, journalism, or a related field. The job holder should have proven experience in storytelling, content creation, and managing communications within humanitarian or development settings. Excellent writing and translation skills and the ability to produce engaging digital and visual content are essential.
